4. The most common and fatal mistake that students could commit while writing their research essays is submitting the academic paper without reviewing it first. Reviewing the essay would allow the student to spot the errors in the composition and rectify them accordingly.

5. One critical mistake that even good writers commit is submitting the research essay beyond the deadline. Professors view this negatively and may affect their grading of the paper.
